My name is Burma Shipman; I retired in January 2007, after working for the Federal Government for 33 years. I became a photography student at Randolph Community College in August 2016. I love traveling and photographing unique and unusual artifacts, flowers, landscapes, and historical sites. I also love and enjoy doing portrait photography. The journey of photography has been a challenging and yet rewarding learning experience. My ultimate desire and goal is to understand and learn the technical aspects of the Art of Photography. That is what continues to motivate and inspire my heart and soul. The vase photo I posted truly demonstrates my feeling, that I am an empty vessel open to learning, growing, and seeking the desired knowledge.
